I took the Axum with the stock derailleur to a bike park and it did really good, no chain drops on small jumps. Its actually a decent deraillleur I think. A lot of bouncy stuff, I also do a lot of climbing and have constant chain drops in the rear on my old fathom which had the deore 12 speed.

The Axum is 398 and the gt is 479. The Axum is a better design, more upgradeable and although the drivetrain is a mystery brand it's 1x that people says works ok. Also, the Axum has 2.6 inch wide tires and it feel pretty nice.
